My wife Rebecca and I were married in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 27, 2014. We spent most of our time in Chicago for the first couple of years, where I worked for Orbitz Worldwide until its acquisition by Expedia Group.

Our daughter, Geneva, was born on October 31, 2016. Geneva spent most of her first year in Boston. In late 2017, we returned to the our farm in Reva, Virginia. With Rebecca’s tremendous help, we are working to get our farm back into good condition.

In 2018, Underwood Farm was expanded by another 88 acres through the addition of half of the farm owned by Kelly Corbin and his family. Prior to Kelly, the farm was owned by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeter Corbin.

As of 2025, we operate a 165 dam cow-calf operation. The cows are mostly Agnus, with about 25% influence from the Hereford herd that was our focus from 2000-2010. The heard is somewhat closed, in the sense that we do not actively seek to add outside genetics. Once every few years, we'll buy bulls and see if the herd improves.

We generally do not sell cows or bulls to other breeders, but there are exceptions. If you're looking for good, locally adapted seed stock and are willing to pay a premium, we do sell cows in groups of 5-10, either as bred cows or cow-calf pairs. Bred cows are $2,250 each.
